Welcome to
Origin Acupuncture Clinic
The origin of Chinese Medicine takes its roots from over 5000 years ago and has developed over time, a unique and comprehensive healing system based on the unique concept of 'Qi flow' through a complex network of invisible 'channels' in the living human body. Qi flow may be analogous to the current flow in an electric circuit that powers a lamp. The stronger the current is flowing through a circuit without impedance, the brighter the lamp will shine. This is much like the health and vitality of our bodies - the stronger and smoother the Qi flow throughout our body, the healthier and more resources we have to sustain us throughout life. While this analogy isn't perfect, it offers a more tangible sense of what we are trying to achieve in clinic at its essence - to smoothen Qi flow in order to restore balance to the body.
Dis-eases and pain arises when the flow of Qi is impeded. This may be for a short or long period time, and as a result can manifest in a multitude of signs and symptoms externally and internally. A diagnostic picture is gathered from evidence that arise in all parts of the body such as through the tongue, pulse, face and special body points called 'acupuncture points.
